SUMMER CAMP 2011

WHAT IS THIS?

O Holy Goat is a dinner event that the Pursuit hosts. All of the profits then go towards buying goats through World Relief. The goats are then given to impoverished families in third world countries. This year, we’re looking at sending them to Jamaican families.

WHY DO YOU HAVE IT?

This is a really practical and easy way for everyone to help out those in need. It’s cheap, it’s fun, and it can truly impact and change the lives of the families who receive the goats.

HOW OFTEN DO YOU HOLD THIS EVENT?

Every December, The Pursuit holds this benefit dinner. 2010 will be our 3rd annual O Holy Goat.

WHEN IS THE EVENT?

O Holy Goat 2010 will be on Sunday, December 19 from 6:00-9:00pm.

WHERE DO YOU HOLD THE EVENT?

We hold the dinner in the main auditorium at the Matthews campus. It’s the same place we have our Pursuit services.

DO YOU HAVE TO BUY A TICKET?

Tickets are required for admission. It’s $10 a ticket, which covers an individual dinner price plus a little extra. The extra money is what we use to buy goats. Tickets will be on sale in the cafe every Sunday in the time leading up to the event.

WHAT IS ON THE MENU?

Our traditional meal at O Holy Goat is a steak dinner. We’ll normally have salad, rolls, and potatoes with the steak, and then we have dessert.

DO YOU JUST GO HOME AFTER YOU EAT?

We have plenty of entertainment for our students. We have table games (Ex: Christmas Mad Libs), there’s a white elephant gift exchange, the Scott Brooks show, and of course, everyone’s favorite event, the traditional singing of “O Holy Goat.”
